Seattle Chinatown

Welcome to Chinatown

The Chinatown International District (Chinatown ID) in the heart of Seattle’s rich, multi-cultural community. It is home to people of Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Vietnamese and Southeast Asian heritage. In fact, there are distinct areas within the district (such as Japantown and Little Saigon) with different Asian influences. “The ID” is one of the city’ oldest neighborhoods, and it’s rich in culture and history.

The district is very pedestrian-friendly. Take some time to stroll through the neighborhoods, and enjoy the Asian architecture of many of the buildings. You’ll find specialty shops filled with goods imported from Asia, delicious food ranging from Pho to Dim Sum, Asian groceries, the famous Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience, and the Hing Hay Park, a popular gathering place at the heart of the district.

There are also many celebrations, festivals, and special events held in Chinatown throughout the year.
